John Hart

John was born about 1675-85, probably in Newtown, Queens Co., Long Island, NY. He was the son of John Hart Jr. and Mary Hunt, and may have been their eldest child. With his father and brothers, he settled in the Hopewell-Maidenhead area of old Burlington (later Hunterdon) Co., NJ, in or about 1703.
In his will, dated 28 Sep. 1752, he named a wife Sarah. It is presumed, though not certain, that she was the mother of the 5 children he named. Presumably he died shortly before the will was proved on 17 Mar. 1753, in Hopewell Twp., old Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co., where he resided.
His children were:
