Richard Wright, husband of Rebecca Stone1808, July 29. Wright, Richard, of Woodbridge Twsp.,Middlesex Co.; will of. Wife, Agnes, $500 and the household goods she brought with her at our marriage: also use of homestead containing 70 acres, lying on westerly side of road leading-- from Amboy to Elizabeth Town; also 5 acres on east side of said road, including the buildings; also salt meadow in Rahway Meadow, as long as she remains my widow,for benefit of herself and my four youngest children, Christian, Juliet, Thomas Presgrove and Caroline. Son, Thomas Presgrove, real estate after wife's death; also my desk, clock, gun, silver spoons, buckels. writing desk books and the young colt now sucking her dam. Residue to six daughters, Betsey, Rebecca, Hariot, Christian, Juliet and Caroline. First three are eldest and married. Betsey's portion to be paid to .Benjamin A. Brown in trust for her or her heirs. Three youngest are not yet I8. Executors—Andrew- Elston of Bridge Town, and son,Thomas Presgrove Wright, and wife, Agnes. Witnesses—Ann Wright, William Harriott and Ichabod Potter.
1808, Sept. 19. Codicil. Wife is appointed guardian of daughter, Harriot Griffith, and at wife's death, Andrew Elston to succeed her as guardian until son. Thomas Presgrove, shall arrive at 21. No part of said Harriot's legacy is to be paid to her husband, Isaac I. Griffith.
