Probate
In his will written 22 March 1756 (proved 30 April 1756), Thomas McClave bequeathed to beloved wife Elizabeth the use of one-half of the dwelling house and one-third of the lands. His two eldest sons Robert and Thomas each receives fifteen acres of land in the home lot. Third son Josiah receives ten acres inthe home lot. Sons John and Timothy also receive lots of land and daughter Mary receives pewter plates, five cows, and five sheep. The other moveable estate is to be divided among his five sons.
