Property
On 28 June 1825,Christopher Martin of Weston, for payment of $2,000, conveyed to his son Luther all of lot number three in the ninth range at Weston excepting 18 acres, a 31-acre tract and a 29-acre tract from lot number four, nine acres in lot number two, all of the farm he now lives on, and pew number thirty-five in the meeting house in Weston. On 28 June 1825, Luther conveyed all this property back to Christopher for payment of $2,000. These transactions were part of an indenture between Luther and his parents, in which for payment of $1,000, Christopher leased to Luther and Sarah his wife one-undivided half of the properties during their natural lives.[1][1] Vermont Land Records, Town of Weston, 6:357, 6:363, 7:304
Property
On 2 February 1866, for payment of $500, Luther Martin with his wife Polly conveyed all their homestead farm, consisting of the properties deeded to him by Christopher Martin, to Nathan Holt.
