Individual Details
Gerhard August Feld
(12 Dec 1857 - 5 Aug 1912)
In some records, his name is listed as August Gerhard Feld. The immigration records confirm his parents as Johan Clemens Feld and Maria Theresa Pieper. Gerhard's future wife, Anna Thecla Jungerman emigrated in 1883. They settled in St. Louis, MO and were married there.
In the 1900 US Census, Gerhard and Anna Thecla were living in St. Louis with four children: John C., 12; Bernard, 11; Henry, 8; and August, 2.
SOURCES: Gerhard August's parents' names were on his marriage record at St Francis de Sales parish. From that information an entry was identified for him in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika. His date and place of birth and year of emigration as noted above were from that entry.
