On 5 January 1820, TimothyWoodford aged 62 years and resident of Addison, Vermont made application for apension based on his service in the Revolution. In June 1775, he enlisted inthe company of Capt. Allen’s and served until 8 December 1775. On the last ofJanuary or 1 February 1776, he enlisted for one year in the company of Capt.Luther Stoddard in the Connecticut line. On 7 May 1776, he was taken prisonerby British forces near Québec and in November of the same year was landed bythe British at Elizabeth Town point in New Jersey. He was admitted to hisparole and exchanged in February 1777. On 26 May 1777, he again enlisted inCapt. Titus Watson’s company of Col. Swift’s regiment in the Connecticut linefor three years. During this last enlistment he served as Corporal. He servedthe entire term and was honorably discharged at Springfield, New Jersey.[1] [1] U.
