Case 11603In his will written 13 May 1740 (probate 20 July 1741), Henry Gray bequeathed to eldest son Henry all the lands in the township of Andover, all the stock animals, husbandry tools, and weaving loom. Son Samuel receives 20 shillings and the right of land to a property in Suncook that has already been conveyed to him. Samuel also received assistance from his father in entering the carpenter trade. Son Aaron is to receive 25 pounds, a gun, and he has already received 140 pounds. Youngest son William is lately deceased and left a widow, and if his widow has a child begotten by William, then that child will receive 20 pounds at age 21. Eldest daughter Elizabeth receives 20 shillings and household items she received before and since her marriage. Daughters Jemima, Mary, Rebecca, and Hannah receive a similar bequest. Youngest daughter Sarah receives 71 pounds when she comes of age. His books are to be equally divided among his six daughters. Real estate included several parcels with total value of 1,650 pounds.
