Samuel Stowers is not the son of Abijah and Tabitha; their son died in1784 with probate record  Date of birth is given as 15 Nov 1764 in pension record – I should double-check there is really another Samuel who died in 1784 – there is a probate record for Samuel Stowers in 1784 but not clear that the estate is going to brothers – there maybe a fuller probate to come on familysearch but they only have up to the K’s available so far – the DOB for Samuel son of Abijah is 18 Nov 1762 so close enough to be a possibility – he dies in 1843 at age 79
