Individual Details
James Brown
(Abt 1741 - 12 Jun 1819)
He went to the part of Rutland that became Paxton in 1765. The dates I have for children are dates of baptism. The family then goes to Oakham.

History of Oakham has some information.
He has a sister Thankful Brown who did not marry and I may be able to find his parents that way. Parents may be Abner Brown and Martha Gilbert. Actually, Abner and Martha are the parents of a spinster Thankful Brown but they do not have a son James according to the 1790 will of Abner. Keep looking.
He has another marriage or two.
Son William is not in the will.
