Probate
Cotton Whiting did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 6 April 1815 with Rufus Bruce appointed administrator as Susannah Whiting and John Whiting declined administration. Real estate was valued at $460 with total value of $631.41. The real estate was mortgaged and was later sold to settle the estate. Those signing they reviewed the probate accounting were James Ellison, John Whiting, and Susannah Whiting.
