Probate
Robert Rogers did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 28 April 1813 with Rufus Leonard as administrator and Nehemiah Rogers giving surety for the bond. Huldah Rogers declined administration. The total value of the estate was $526.22,$220 being the value of land and buildings. Due to debts of the estate, it was deemed insolvent and property was sold. At an estate distribution on 29 February 1816, widow Huldah Rogers was granted $17.40 for her support. Each of the children received nine dollars each: Nehemiah Rogers, Ebenezer Rogers, William Rogers, Rockwell Rogers, the wife of Thaddeus King, the wife of Benjamin Wheedon, the representatives of Lucinda Rising, and Betsey Rogers.[1][1] Connecticut State Library (Hartford, Connecticut); Probate Place: Hartford,Connecticut, Probate Packets, Rockwell, N-Sessions, O, 1759-1880, estate of Robert Rogers, case 1823
