this may be his probate at Nashua NH 1758 – NHState Papers, 36:246-247JohnButterfield of Nashua did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 22April 1758 with widow Mary renouncing administration in favor of her son ThomasButterfield yeoman of Dunstable. Inventory valued the estate at £4060.16.0. ThomasButterfield had a claim against the estate of £3266.16.10 recorded on 1December 1769, and the residue of the estate was settled on Thomas on 7February 1772.[1][1] NewHampshire State Papers, 36:246-247
