In his will written 8 February 1811 (probate 28 April 1825), Samuel Morrill of Danville, Vermont bequeathed to beloved wife Sarah one-third of the real estate and a chamber in the house during her natural life, this to revert to son Samuel after her decease. Eldest son Ephraim Morrill and second son Jacob Morrill each receives five dollars. Son Samuel receives the lands. Son James Morrill receives five dollars. His eldest and youngest daughters (not named), they being the only surviving of his daughters, divide the household goods. Son Samuel was named executor. He then notes he omitted his youngest son John Morrill and bequeaths to him five dollars.1

Property
On 16 June 1788, Samuel Morrill, gentleman of Loudon, New Hampshire, purchased seven cares in Danville, Vermont from Sargent Morrill for payment of £4.10. On 15 September 1795, Samuel was of Loudon when he sold fifty acres in Danville, one half of the north pitch in Danville made to Samuel Morrill, to Uri Babbet for payment of five dollars.1On 26 March 1807, Samuel Morrill, gentleman of Danville, for payment of $875, conveyed to Samuel Morrill, Jr. one-half of the farm and one-half of the buildings which had been deeded to Samuel by Ephraim Magoon. Also on 26 March 1807, for payment of fifty dollars, Samuel conveyed to Jacob Morrill one-third part of an 86-tract from lot number nine.2
