It is possible that he went to Washington state and married Annie Pucheit who was about 30 years younger than him and had several children. Not really sure. The ages are right but the transcription of the death record says parents are J. C. and Sarah.

The John C. who married Annie had 4 children but two of them likely died young and I cannot find their records. The birth record of the youngest child says she was the fourth child.
