William Henry Keighler

The remains of the late Wm. H. Keighler were buried yesterday in Greenmount. Rev. Messrs. Moffett and Perry conducted services at the late residence, 517 North Eutaw street, and the pall-bearers ... Mr. Keighler was born in Baltimore in 1804, and commenced business with Tiffany, Shaw & Co., and afterwards was a member of the firm of Duvall, Keighler & Co. He was at one time vice-president of the Northern Central Railroad and a trustee of its sinking fund. He was appointed by Mr. Peabody one of the trustees of the Peabody Institute, but only served a short time. He was a vice-president of the Maryland Institute, some years ago, was one of the incorporators of the Eutaw Savings bank. At the time of his death he was in the insurance business. He leaves two sons and two daughters. His wife was a sister of Judge Ames, of Rhode Island.
