Individual Details
Mary Hunt
(28 Aug 1692 - )
Mary Proctor the "wife of Joseph Proctor" is mentioned as an heir in the will of John Langdon. However, she is not listed as one of his six children, and his daughter named Mary is married to a Hunt. So, Mary Langdon Proctor is related to him somehow, but how? It turns out, she was Mary Hunt, the daughter of Thomas Hunt and Judith Torrey. She first married a John Langdon in 1713 and was a widow when she married Joseph Proctor in 1722. Mary is listed as a daughter. The probate administration from 1724 identifies heirs as selling a property of Thomas Hunt and these include Joseph Proctor and wife Mary. Other information suggests that the first husband of Mary Hunt, John Langdon, was a son of the John Langdon whose will is mentioned above; her husband was a mariner and died in 1722 (NEHGR, volume 30, p. 35).
