On 1 April 1783, David Foster of Westminster, forpayment of one hundred and twenty pounds, purchased fifty acres in lot numberfour in the third range of Putney from Abel White. On 21 October 1788, Davidpurchased twenty acres in Putney from widow Elizabeth Paine for thirty pounds.[1]These all start in the 1820’s and later so mustrelate to the son David
