Individual Details
(16 May 1798 - 19 Jul 1874)
He was a person of great energy and industry, and acquired a large fortune. "Bradbury had dark hair and eyes; was full six feet tall and well proportioned; was noted for his strength and that he needed no other protector nor protection than his own right arm--a blow from it would have been like a sledge hammer. He always lived at Colerain, near the old homestead. Was very successfull in raising stock, and had excellent judgement in his real estate transactions. His estate was valued at about $400,000." It will be noticed that many of his descendants bear the name of Bedinger. The ancestors of this family were pioneers in Kentucky, and the Bedingers are still living on the land once occupied by Daniel Boone.1
