Probate
New Hampshire, County Probate Records, 1660-1973, Hillsborough; 21:231, 16:506; 18:471James Hopkins did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 20 December 1809. Only son James Hopkins was named administrator as the widow declined administration. The real estate inventory included home farm of $1,050, lot in Lyndeborough at $415, a small lot at $10, and a pew in the meeting house, $45. On 1 Apr 1812, widow Mary Hopkins was allowed $100 from the personal estate for support of life.
