On 3 January 1800, Benjamin Hardy yeoman of Andover purchased sixty acres in Greenfield from Richard Towne for payment of six hundred dollars.[1][1] New Hampshire Land Records, Hillsborough County, 88:154
Benjamin added to his land holdings over the years. On 3 January 1804, Benjamin Hardy yeoman was of Greenfield when he purchased 17 acres in Greenfield from Richard Gould for one hundred and seventy dollars. He purchased six acres from Paul Craigin in 1807 and fourteen acres from John Savage in 1810.[1]
