Probate
Vermont. Probate Court (Windsor District); Probate Place: Windsor, Vermont, Probate Files: B, Back -- Barnard, H, Probate of Lazarus Banister, 18 Sep 1813Widow Anna Banister declined administration and requested that Ebenezer Shedd assume this duty. The demands against the estate exceeded the assets requiring the sale of the real estate and this was agreed to by the following heirs: Anna Banister, Elisha Banister, Anna Swinerton, Franklin Banister, and Sally Banister, In another document, Joseph Farwell signs as representative to the "absent heirs" but their names are not given. There is also an Abigail Banister and Samuel Shedd signs as guardian to minor children who are not named. In the distribution, there are distributions of property to Norman Banister, Ephraim? Banister, Franklin Banister, Sukey Banister, Marcy Ruggles, and Thomas Banister.
