Patience did not marry. In 1850 Patience was residing at Landaff, New Hampshire under the care of the town's poor farm and enumerated as a pauper. By 1870 she was residing at Bangor, Maine with the family of her niece, Lucinda (Beal) Withers, dau. of the late Rev. Oliver Beal and his wife Sarah Bailey of Bangor, latter Patience's deceased older sister.
