Will
In his will written 9 July 1826, James Hoyt bequeaths to beloved wife Huldah the income on one-fourth part of his property. She also has use of part of the dwelling house and the barn. There are other provisions made for her support and maintenance. Beloved daughter Sally Hoyt receives $100 to be paid to her by her brother Peaslee Hoyt within three years. Beloved daughter Betsy Weeks also receives $100 to be paid by Peaslee. Beloved son Eliphalet also receives $100. Grandson Nathan Weeks receives $50. Son Peaslee receives the property in Gilford on which Peaslee is now living. All the remainder of the real property is bequeathed to son Thomas.
