Notes
Guardianship
Timothy was placed under guardianship as non compos in 1817. Benjamin Kimball, Jr. was named his guardian. The inventory included about 12 acres with buildings valued at $900.00 and a personal estate valued at $24.50. The guardianship of Benjamin Kimball was revoked 16 February 1818. That petition was made by the selectman of Concord as they thought the misdemeanors (which seem to be intemperance) of which Timothy Abbott was guilty were far removed and that he no longer needed a guardian. The original request for a guardian dated 19 May 1817 notes excessive drinking, neglect and wasting of his estate and causing his family want and suffering circumstances as a consequence.New Hampshire.
