Individual Details

Jonathan Ballard

(29 Jun 1761 - 28 Nov 1830)

He was Captain Jonathan Ballard. He was in the Revolutionary War. His pension application in 1820 gives his age as 59; also information on wife, children, and his humble circumstances is provided.

Could he be the child of Jonathan and Priscilla Ballard born 1761 in Middleton, MA? I will enter them as possible parents. The father was a doctor who died of smallpox in 1764 leaving the opportunity for young Jonathan to wind up in Peterborough, NH but that depends on my finding what happened to his mother. Mother died in Andover in 1784 which allows him to be in Andover to be married.

All the children are entered, although not certain about their outcomes.
