233) SAMUEL DOWNING, 55, Minot, Pvt Burnham's Company, Jackson's Regiment, Massachusetts. Real estate, none. Personal estate, 2 cows, one 2 year old heifer, 2 yearlings, 13 sheep, 2 swine, a few necessary utensils for keeping house. I have no income but my earnings which are small - I am justly owing $240. Laborer, not able - particularly last year. Elizabeth, wife, 52, a weakly woman. Amos, 20, able to support himself. Timothy, 17, feeble - has a rupture. Clarissa, 14, very unwell. Sumner, 12, weakly from infancy. Alvina, 9 a healthy child able to earn her support in part. Continued, $84.25. 24 June 1820.
