Probate
Joseph Chandler did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 15 May 1826. The inventory of his estate included real property valued at $4,763.00 with a homestead of 124 acres and additional lots totaling about 200 acres. The personal estate was valued at $2,261.51. The heirs receiving distributions from the estate were as follows: Luther Richardson's children, Jere Chandler, John Chandler, Hazen Chandler, Josephus Chandler, Susan Farrington wife of Stephen, Nathan Chandler, Molly Wiley wife of America, Daniel Chandler, Isaac Chandler, Peter Chandler, and George Chandler. There does not seem to be a distribution to the heirs of Moses who died in 1825 (and had a child); there is a birth record for him for this family, so a little curiosity.Luther Richardson was administrator of the estate.
I do not see anything in the file about the heirs of Moses so not sure about that.
