In his will dated 4 March 1840 (proved 4th Tuesday of October 1841), Christopher Osgood leaves to sons Herman A. Osgood and Ira B. Osgood three-fourths of the sawmill, sawmill yard, and water privileges, and also his hundred acre lot known as the Gulf lot. Son John H. Osgood receives three-fourths of the gristmill, gristmill yard, and water privileges, and also a piece of land lying near the crossroad leading from the mill to the village, and thirty acres of land in Hooksett. Daughter Anna O. Parker receives privileges and occupancy of the dwelling house during her natural life, and after her decease the house goes to Herman. All the remainder of the estate is to be divided equally among his three sons. Herman is named executor.
