Case 21346In Timothy Stearns's will written 29 Aug 1816 (proved 28 Aug 1816), his beloved wife receives all the household goods, the horse and chaise, and $100 to dispose of as she pleases. She also receives use of one-third part of the real estate and a seat in the pew during her life. She has use of the clock while she is a widow. Son Eckly receives one-half of the pasture in Ashburnham and $100 to be paid to him when he reaches age 19. Son Timothy receives the other half of the pasture and $100 when he is 19. Daughter Sarah Abbot Stearns receives $250 to be paid at age 18 or on the day of her marriage if she marries earlier. Son Sewal Stearns receives his watch and a yoke of oxen. All the remainder of the estate is to be divided between sons Sewal and Obed. Elijah Stearns of Bedford and son Sewal Stearns were named executors. Real estate was valued at $3,715 and personal estate at $1,637.72.
