In his will, James Niles makes a bequest to beloved wife Mary one cow, four sheep, and the use of a west room of the house and privileges to use the oven and cellar. The executor is charged with supplying the provisions needed for her support. Five children Elizabeth, Phebe, Isaac, Joshua Holt, and Molly divide the household items. Oldest son James receives $50; daughter Elizabeth receives $23, daughter Phebe $36, third daughter Molly $20, son Isaac receives the house Isaac lives in and the land the house stands upon, and third son Joshua Holt receives the house that is currently the father's house. Sons Isaac and Joshua Holt are named executors.James, Elizabeth, and Phebe are children from James's first marriage to Elizabeth.
