Probate
Philip did not marry. In his will dated 24 January 1832, he made bequests to his siblings and their heirs. Those named in the will are as follows: heirs of his brother Samuel who is deceased; heirs of his brother Cyrus who is deceased; heirs of his sister Anna Hare who is deceased; Betsy Utley daughter of his brother Stephen; brother Timothy; Lewis Utley son of his brother Antipas; to Orren Utley who is the brother of Lewis; and to Philip Utley who is the son of Rufus who is deceased, and to the other remaining heirs of brother Rufus. Mr. Royal Copeland is named executor.Stephen, Timothy, and Antipas are not described as deceased. Elizabeth is not mentioned, so she is assumed to be deceased and without heirs. Elijah also is not mentioned. Also, Abigail is not mentioned, so will need to double-check if she had heirs or heirs still living. Abigail died in 1774 so it is possible that any children she may have had were also deceased by this time.
