Individual Details
James Bidlack
(26 Nov 1750 - 3 Jul 1778)
Capt. James Bidlack. He, and Robert Durkee,
and Samuel Ransom were taken by the Indians, 21 March, 1779.
They stripped him, tied him to a tree, stuck him full of sharp
splints of pine knots, and, having piled pine knots around him,
set the whole on fire; put the others on the fire, and held them
down with pitchforks, and tortured them till they expired.
