Individual Details

John Blanchard

(11 Sep 1763 - 1844)

I found the pension application file which clarifies some things. The information in the Abbot book seems to be mostly incorrect

There is not evidence related to the name of his wife

The pension file includes his birth as 11 Sep 1763 in Concord

Some information on p 144 in the Abbott book. He had two wives. But maybe just one wife -- it is up in the air. Plus the Abbot book has a completely different list of children than the findagarve site so there may be some big mix-up.

Husband of Hannah Perrin, married in Pembroke, New Hampshire. According to family tree data on www.ancestry.com, Hannah died before John moved to Michigan.

G. Miller, family member, has a land record for John Jr. & Betsey Blanchard, and Ezra and Lovina Miller, that states they sold their land in LOCKPORT, Niagara, NY before coming to Michigan.

G. Miller has a letter from John Sr's Revolutionary War Pension File dated July 9, 1834. It states that he lived in Vermont for 10 years, then moved to lower Canada for 19 years, and then to Lockport, New York, before moving to Farmington, Michigan two years prior to the letter being written, which would make his move to Michigan in 1832. It has his birth as September 11, 1763. His final pension payment was in the 3rd Quarter of 1844 which likely is when he died.

There is an 1830 census for a John Blanchard in Lockport, Niagara, NY.
