Individual Details

Amos Blanchard

(22 Jan 1766 - 25 May 1842)

He was a fifer in the Revolution. There is much information in the pension application file.

He was also a schoolmaster.

There are probably a few more children -- likely a Martin Luther Blanchard about 1807 and maybe a Maria
Maria [d. Amos. PR53], and Alfred Tufts, June 20, 1824.

And there could be an Eliza who marries John S. Bancroft -- I am going to put Eliza in there as a test -- Eliza's death in 1881 in Lynn -- place of birth on death record is Milford and parents look like Amos and Melissa

Many of the people in this family die of consumption

I am missing a son. In 1818, Amos reports he has a 17 year old invalid son living with him
