Jedediah Holt did not leave a will and the estate entered probate 7 June 1790. Widow Phebe Holt was named administratrix. The heirs signing their agreement with the plan for inventory of the estate were Phebe Holt also signing as the guardian for Samuel Holt and Stephen Holt, Nathan Barker signing on behalf of his wife, and Phebe Holt. Real estate was valued at 455.12.4 and personal estate at 398.7.10. On 25 February 1795, Phebe Holt widow of Jedediah acting as administrator of the estate sold a portion of the real estate to Nathan Town ten acres for £64.6.3. This sale was to settle debts of the estate.1
On 8 July 1813, Phebe Holt widow of Wayne, Kennebec County, appointed her son Stephen Holt of Wayne to act as her lawful attorney for the sale of land in Andover currently occupied by Nathan Barker. On 27 November 1813, Phebe Holt widow of Wayne, Kennebec County, Massachusetts, being in possession of land in Andover currently being occupied by Benjamin Spofford, Moody Robinson, and William Johnson 3rd, appointed her sons Samuel Holt of Winthrop and Stephen Holt of Wayne, traders, to be her lawful attorneys to lease, let, or sell the property.2
