In his will date 31 August 1801, James Frye bequeaths to beloved wife Eunice all the household furniture she brought with her to the marriage. She also receives the improvement on one-third part of the real estate as long as she remains a widow. Daughter Sarah the wife of Asa Lovejoy receives two dollars as she has received her part of the estate at the time of her marriage. Daughter Betty the wife of Peter Wardwell receives ten dollars and one good cow. Son Zachariah receives twenty-five dollars and a featherbed and bedding. Sons James and Zachariah receive the wearing apparel. Rachel Foster, the daughter of his second wife who has resided with him, receives twenty dollars. Grandson James Frye Wardwell receives his five arms. The residue of the estate goes to son James who is also named executor.
