Probate
Vermont. Probate Court (Hartford District), Royalton, Windsor; 2:268, 3:30, 3:39, 3:57, 3:258, 3:287, 3:293, estate of John HibbardJohn Hibbard did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 22 August 1800 with the letter of administration signed by Abigail Hibbard and John Billings. Personal estate was valued at $425.83 and real estate at $1,200. Charges against the estate were $170.36. The dower was set off to widow Abigail 22 June 1802. The settlement of the estate July 1806 included distributions to the following heirs: oldest son Arunah Hibbard, son Samuel, son John, son Elmore, daughter Polly Woodard, daughter Abigail Sanborn, daughter Zerviah, daughter Sarah, and daughter Philena.
