Will
The will of Edmund Ingalls written 10 October 1850 (probate 7 January 1851) has bequests to his wife Dorothy and his granddaughter Maria D. Fletcher who has resided with him since infancy and who receives $8,000. There is a bequest to beloved niece Mary S. Fletcher widow of Addison Fletcher, and then there are a number of specific legacies to nieces and nephews and grandnieces. Addison Fletcher was the husband of Edmund's daughter Maria who died; Addison then married Mary Stevens Ingalls who was also Edmund's niece. In the 1850 Census, the widow Mary Fletcher was living next door to Edmund and Dorothy in Cavendish.Probate 7 Jan 1851
