Will
New Hampshire. Probate Court (Sullivan County); Probate Place: Sullivan, New Hampshire, Wills, Vol 19, 1852-1864, will of Theodore AbbottIn his will written 25 April 1855 (probate 28 June 1855), Theodore Abbott leaves to beloved wife Mary all the income from his real and personal estate for her natural life. Mary receives all the household furniture to dispose of at her pleasure. Sons Amasa L. Abbott, Stephen Abbott, Elias B. Abbott, and Thomas B. Abbott receive one dollar each. Each of the daughters receive fifty cents: Sally Warthen, Mary Ann Chase, Abigail Chase, Lois Eastman, and Lydia Jane Abbott. After the decease of their mother, the estate will be divided among the children with the sons receiving twice the amount of the daughters. Wife Mary is named sole executor.
