New Hampshire. Probate Court (Merrimack County); Probate Place: Merrimack, New Hampshire, Probate Records, Vol 1, 1823-1828, will of John Garvin 16 June 1826In his will written 16 June 1826, John Garvin bequeaths to beloved wife Susanna improvements on one-third part of the property during her widowhood plus the privilege in the kitchen "to wash and do other work" and "a privilege in the oven to bake." Other provisions for her support are specified. Son Nathaniel Garvin receives $100, son James Garvin $150, son Hubbard Garvin $300, and son Jeremiah Garvin $100. Daughter Mariam Rogers receives $50. Son Seth Garvin receives $150. Sons Nathaniel and Jeremiah receive all the remainder of the estate and they are named joint executors.
