Property
168:312 – with TrueworthyGilman who was married to Elizabeth Towne sister of father Moses Towne – in thisfrom 1828, Joseph B. Towne, Thomas Towne, Rodney Towne, and Charlotte Towne(these are all first cousins of Moses) as well as Trueworhty Gilman (son ofTrueworthy and Elizabeth) and Ira H. Currier and Betsey B. G. Phelps (she isdaughter of Trueworthy and Elizabeth Gilman) sign they have received a paymentfrom Moses Towne to settle any claims.https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSRH-6JMS?i=502&cat=428923
121:356 – this is arecord of the original obligation of Moses Towne. Jr. to these people – which isthe deed mentioned above – so the payment may be to Joseph Towne the cousin andthen paid to Joseph’s heirs in 1828 – Moses’s sister Sarah had married thecousin Joseph Towne so that might be where all that comes from – just need to figure out who IraCurrier is – otherwise all these people are the heirs of Moses siblingsSarah Towne Towne and Elizabeth Towne Gilman – in the margin of the deed, saysto see discharge of the obligation at 168:312 – so that mean this Ira Currieris an heir of either Moses’s sister Elizabeth or sister Sarah – would then needto look for a receipt from Samuel Gray Towne who would also be an heir
