Probate

In his will written 11 February 1766, Thomas Holt makes bequests to the following persons: eldest and well beloved son Thomas, two grandsons Abiel and Joseph Holt who are the sons of his deceased son Joseph, his fourth son William, his fifth and well beloved son Daniel, well beloved daughter Allace, and well beloved daughter Lydia. Clothing is divided among three sons Thomas, William, and Daniel. He also makes son Thomas responsible for the care of his mother-in-law (step mother Abigail) and after her death to return household items to her two children John Fisk and Phebe Abbott.
