Probate
John Gilbert did not leave a will and his estateentered probate 4 February 1806 with Jonas Gilbert as administrator. On 8 April1806, widow Sarah Gilbert, in consideration of bed and bedding valued at twentydollars and payment of one hundred and twenty-five dollars, quitclaimed all herclaims to the estate to the heirs-at-law of her late husband John Gilbert. Thequitclaim was witnessed by Nathan Gilbert and Joel Gilbert. Estate inventorywas $954.61. On 6 June 1787, John Gilbert yeoman of Worcester,in consideration of £300, conveyed to Jonas Gilbert three parcels in Brookfieldcontaining 60 acres, 16 acres, and 7 or 8 acres.
