Probate Court (Merrimack County); Probate Place: Merrimack, New Hampshire, Probate Records, Vol 25, 1847-1856, will of Thomas Brickett, pp 611-612In his will written 1 April 1853, Thomas Brickett leaves to beloved wife Aseneth, in addition to her dower, the use of all the household furniture except one of the beds and the brass clock. After her decease, the household furniture is to go to daughters Mary, Sarah, and Aseneth. Wife Aseneth also receives one cow. Beloved son Irad Brickett receives one dollar. Son Abbott Brickett receives the use and improvement of, during his natural life, the property that Thomas purchased from Asa Moore in Pembroke where Abbott now lives. After Abbott's decease, this property is to go to Abbott's children who are Lovina Brickett, Sarah H. Brickett, Mary K. Brickett, Esther Brickett, Charles Brickett, and Gilford B. Brickett. Daughter Mary wife of Jeremiah Austin receives ten dollars in addition to what she has already received. Son Barnard Brickett receives three hundred dollars. Daughter Sarah H. Brickett receives two hundred dollars. Daughter Aseneth A. wife of David L. Holt receives one hundred dollars in addition to what she has received. Son Charles Brickett also receives two hundred dollars. All the remainder of the estate goes to sons Thomas W. Brickett and Josiah K. Brickett who are also named executors.
