Property
On 20 March 1782, Theodore, yeoman, was of Bridgton when he purchased lot number four in the sixteenth range with buildings from William Emerson for payment of £300. Theodore sold this property back to William on 23 June 1783 for £300. On 24 April 1793, Theodore purchased 79 acres of lot number four in the thirteenth range from the proprietors of Bridgton for eighteen shillings in a delinquency sale. In 1813 and 1815, Theodore with a group of others brought property from the estate of Thomas Poor from his heirs.1On 1 September 1807, Theodore Emerson with his wife Lydia sold two 25-acre tracts in Bridgton to Pelitiah March, Jr. of Bridgton for payment of four hundred dollars. On 22 February 1813, Theodore Emerson sold two 25-acre tracts to Samuel Emerson, partially adjoining the tracts sold to Pelitiah March, for payment of three hundred dollars. On 8 March 1813, Theodore Emerson, for parental love, good will, and affection, conveyed to Joshua Emerson several lots, one of which partially adjoined property previously sold to Theodore Emerson, Jr. On 17 March 1818, Theodore Emerson, in consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars, conveyed to Polly Long wife of Darius Long of Bridgton all of the number four in the thirteenth range at Bridgton.2
