Probate
In her will written 3 July 1828 (probate 3 March 1829), Mary Dillaway made bequests to her niece Clarissa Ware wife of Erastus Ware, her half-sister Mercy Davis wife of James Davis, Sarah Wardwell the widow of her brother Simon Wardwell, and nephews Simon Wardwell and George Wardwell. Isaac Farnham was named executor.1 Clarissa Ware, Simon Wardwell, and George Wardwell were children of Mary’s brother Simon Wardwell.
