Property
On 13 August 1818, Samuel Eaton hatter of Methuen, for payment of one hundred dollars, purchased six acres in Salem, New Hampshire from Ebenezer Emerson of Methuen who owned this property with Daniel Emerson.1 Daniel and Ebenezer Emerson of Methuen were Samuel’s first cousins, children of Oliver Emerson and Sarah Eaton. On 14 August 1818, Samuel Eaton sold a piece of property in Methuen to Ebenezer Emerson and Jonathan Merrill for payment of one hundred dollars.21 New Hampshire Land Records, Rockingham County, 251:427
