Sarah Wright mnu

(Abt 1698 - Aft 1760)

Although if is not yet known the family origin of Sarah the wife of Edward Wright, some things are known. I have discovered that she married someone named Samuel Winn of Woburn after the death of Edward Wright and she was still living in 1743 as she was involved in the ongoing probate of Edward's estate; there is a death record for possibly her in 1784. She was also living in 1760 when Samuel Winn wrote his will. She is determined as a result of this to not be Sarah Pearson as Sarah Pearson was not living at the time of her father's will in 1728. In 1760 when Samuel Winn wrote his will, he includes a bequest for his "granddaughter" Miriam Hildreth. Miriam was the daughter of Sarah;s daughter Rebecca who married Josiah Hildreth. The probate record of Edward Wright includes a statement that Samuel Winn raised Rebecca from age seven. This record also specifies her raised "one of" Edward's children. There was another daughter Sarah whom perhaps he did not raise and who lived with another family. I think that the daughter Sarah may have married Jonathan Emerson but I am not sure of that.

The daughter Sarah born in 1721 has a guardianship case in 1728 when she is in 7th year; Daniel Pierce of Woburn is made her guardian. He is also made the guardian of Rebecca. There is another person involved named Kendal Parson.
