Probate
In his will written 17December 1806 (probate 7 November 1815), Timothy Lyman bequeathed to his sonsTimothy, Jr. and Asahel all the wearing apparel. Wife Dorothy receives all thehousehold furniture, forever, and one-half the improvement of the real estatewhile she is a widow. Each of his daughters receives one dollar with what theyreceived at marriage completes their portions: Susanna wife of Joseph Clap, Theodosiawife of Jasper Brewster, Achsa wife of Dr. William Coleman, and Dorothy wife ofEdward Taylor, Jr. The remainder of the estate goes to son Timothy who is to providecomfortable support to Dorothy.
