Thomas Wallace did not leave a will and widowMercy was named administratrix on 15 Oct 1811. Real estate was the homesteadfarm subject to incumbrances valued at $1,700 and four acres of lot number 23valued at $28. Personal estate was $1,270.63 including notes owed to theestate. On 27 January 1812, widow Mercy was allowed three hundred dollars ofthe personal estate as allowance. The debts of the estate exceeded the value ofthe personal estate and Mercy received license to sell part of the estate on 10June 1813.[1]Mercy sold portions of the real estate in a series of land transactions.[2]

On 4 December 1838, Frederick Wallace and AlfredWallace yeomen of Bedford and Wiseman Wallace of Tewksbury, in consideration oftwo thousand dollars, conveyed to Cyrus Wallace glazier of Bedford three lotsof land in Bedford with buildings these being lot 21 of the tenth range and lots22 and 23 of the eleventh range containing 150 acres.[1]
